The meeting was opened by the head researcher Paulo Tormenta Pinto, with a brief description of the work that has been carried out by the team. The presentation on the Polis Programme included a critical review based on the fieldwork tasks and a pre-selection of case studies with the corresponding selection criteria.

Next were presented five different approaches to the assigned tasks of the project or lines of work. This work session gathered different themes as: land-use planning legislation and milestones; one specific Polis Program intervention; creative dynamics as local development strategies; unbuilt mega events operations in Lisbon Metropolitan Area and technological and building systems within the sphere of the project.

The work session was completed with a debate concerning goals and methods and upcoming events of the project.
